SSDI is a program administered by the Social Security Administration helping people who are disabled and unable to work. The program pays benefits to a disabled person who has a work record of paying Social Security taxes on money earned from employment or self-employment. SSDI should not be confused with SSI, an SSA disability program paying benefits to disabled adults and children with limited income and financial resources.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a disability program of the SSA that provides income supplements to adults and children who are blind or otherwise disabled and have limited income and other financial resources making it difficult for them to pay for food, clothing and shelter. Unlike SSDI, which requires a work history to qualify for benefits, a person need not have a work record to for SSI.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers benefits to veterans disabled during or as a result of service in the U.S. military. Benefits available include monthly disability compensation for an injury or disease caused or aggravated by active service in the military; an automobile allowance providing assistance for purchasing or adapting an automobile to accommodate severely disabled veterans; and a yearly stipend for disabled veterans to purchase clothing adapted to their disability.

I would like to take the time to thank Mr. Milam for winning my case for SSI on March 3rd. With some of the back pay I went out & bought a brand new car! Hurray could you see that he gets the email. Thank you.

The Milam' s have been there for me 9 almost 10 years, they are the best in this field, They took my case all the way to Federal District Court and we won with a remand, Now that they Do VA Claims I am going with them for my Dept. of Veterans Affairs claim as well, They are the best in the Field.
Had problems getting anything done with other Attorneys - some said I didn't even have a case but the Milam's helped me get the money I was owed. I would highly recommend this firm - they are very professional and work hard for their clients - always kept me in the loop as to what I could expect.
This office was highly recommended to me, I was told they were able to do what others were unable to.....So I wrote the number down on a napkin and gave the office a call. Set up an appointment and we are in process now. We've been working with them about 2 months. The staff is friendly and when we call, we are able to get our questions answered. If the staff on hand are unable to answer the questions that we have and the lawyers aren't available at that minute they always get back to us.
Mr. Milam fought for my case for 8 years. It is up to the judge that that takes your case. I had to jump through all the Federal Law hoops because my case was denied. Then Mr Milam suggested to take it to the Supreme Court. My case was won there. Mr Milam and his wife fought for me. I would recommend Mr. Milam Disability firm for their expertise and knowledge they have with Social Security. Never give up!
